If you took sputum test in SLEC and is under B1 class, the health department will most probably contact you 4-6 weeks upon arrival in US. You can check what class are you by looking at the SLEC stamp at the back of your passport.
You will be ask by health department to go to their nearest clinic to give 4 tubes of blood samples, chest x-ray and they will give you 3 containers for your sputum. You will need to bring your chest x-ray CD given to you by SLEC. If you have negative culture test, then no further things to be done however, if your blood and test results are positive, you will have to take TB medicines immediately.

SLEC medical and sputum test
SLEC (Saint Luke's Medical Center Extension Clinic) is the official clinic of US Embassy for securing your medical exam and vaccination requirement of immigrant visa applicants. They open at 6 am however, as early at 4 am there are already people in queue. They first check if you have all the required document before they let you in. They don't have special queue for children or senior citizen except on payment and the information gathering. During the exam, they will take your chest x-ray, blood sample, urine sample, physical test, an interview and last is vaccine, all on the same day if you arrive early and if you did not have problem with your medical. If you had an abnormal chest x-ray, they will not give you the vaccine yet and they will require you to return for your sputum test. During the sputum test, it is recommended that you drink plenty of liquid like water and ginger tea with honey. After the 3 day sputum test, they will set an evaluation date where they will explain to you the result of the smear test and what they saw in the x-ray. Some people were advised to take medicine for community acquired pneumonia.
All those who took the sputum test will have to wait for 8 weeks for the culture test wherein they will test if mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria grow in your sputum. Some of the patients will receive call from SLEC saying there is a bacteria that grow during the 8 week culture test and some doesn't receive a call. SLEC will give you a date on when to call (1 week after culture test) them, and during that time be ready to return to SLEC for your vaccine or your start of TB medication. If your culture test is negative, you will be allowed to take your vaccine. You will have to undergo vaccine evaluation first then they will give you the vaccines you needed. After takeing your vaccines, you will need to wait for your medical result at the ground floor. Some people will receive a sealed envelope however, some medical results were not given to patients instead, it is SLEC that forwards the medical result to US Embassy. Once you are done with the medical, you are ready for interview. During the interview, you don't need to bring the x-ray CD that was given by SLEC.

SSN Application
One of the first thing you will need upon arriving to US under K1 visa is your SSN (Social Security Number). Although it is not necessarily needed as you will need it after receiving your EAD (Employment Authorization Document), getting SSN is easy. All you need to do is look for your nearest SSA office, fill out the application form, bring copy of your I-94, and your passport. Depending on the state, some people were able to get their SSN with their married name after their marriage by bringing original and certified true copy of marriage certificate with other required documents. In my case, the SSA officer did not allow me to get SSN with my married name unless I have my Permanent Resident Card with me (I have not applied for Adjustment of Status when I applied for SSN).You will receive your card within two weeks.
